CMS Watch is a respected source for technology evaluation and market analysis. Founded and edited by Tony Byrne, the site provides detailed product information for web content managment, portal, ECM, enterprise search, and web analytics systems. CMS Watch also publishes annual reports for each of these market segments.

CMS Matrix provides information on platform and features for more than 800 CMS. A user can create a side-by-side comparison for 2 - 10 products. The most interesting feature are the statistics on visits, updates, and user ratings for specific products.

CM Pros is an international community of practice for users, developers, and managers involved in content management. The organization hosts webinars, conferences (usually in conjunction with a Gilbane conference), and other events. Members can access mailing lists, consultant database, and other online resources.

Gilbane provides industry analysis and technology reports. Founded by Frank Gilbane, the company sponsors the semi-annual Gilbane Conference in Boston and San Francisco. The site is the preminent source on the web for articles on every aspect of content management.

OSCOM is an organization that promotes open source content management. Although this group is not currently active, the site includes a useful list of frameworks and systems.
