QWiPS Technology

Quoin leverages open source software to produce QWiPS. We package several applications with our design, customization, and support services to implement a complete solution for our clients.

Daisy CMS

Daisy is a web CMS that offers rich out-of-the-box functionality and a robust platform for online publishing. The system includes a content repository. Daisy also features a powerful front-end application for editing and publishing content. Daisy is licensed under the open source Apache License 2.0, which grants broad rights to use or modify the system source code.

Apache Projects

Daisy includes key frameworks from the Apache Software Foundation, including Apache Cocoon, Apache Lucene, and Apache Tomcat. QWiPS is therefore built on the most successful and widely-used web delivery platform.

Open Source

Quoin uses open source technology for QWiPS and other applications. We believe that this approach delivers highly capable software and excellent value for our clients. We also contribute to open source projects, including Daisy and Debian Linux. Quoin is an active collaborator with Outerthought - the principal developer and supporter of Daisy.
