One System User's Group: Advertising Management System - ONE System

Quoin has a long-term relationship with the 28 state and provincial newspaper associations that use the One System for advertising management. The users include the Florida Press Service, Minnesota Newspaper Association, New Jersey Press Association, Virginia Press Association, and other daily and weekly press associations. The application allows an association to offer single-order placement services to advertisers nationwide. The One System processes more than $200M of advertising annually, and is critical to the day-to-day work of the associations. More than 100,000 newspapers receive display advertising orders from this system.

We began supporting this system in 2004 – fixing defects, supporting users, and implementing enhancements. Our support team has produced a number of releases to improve the reliability and performance of this application. We have also provided ongoing technology support and training for more than 100 day-today users of this system. Quoin participates in the annual Users’ Group meeting, and prepares a report for the Owners’ Committee.

Our team recently deployed an online Order Management System, which will provide reliable order management workflow, order history, email and fax notifications for association and newspaper users. We designed this system to support ease of use by association and newspaper users. The application includes features for searching for orders and newspaper insertion orders. Users can view the original orders and insertions generated by the client application. The workflow includes accepting, rejecting, or requesting updates. Each change in order status will generate the necessary notifications. Quoin is now developing a full web-based version of the system, which will be released in August 2007.
