C/C++ Developer
Position
Quoin is engaged on a series of challenging reengineering and system integration efforts for a large retail client, and is seeking a C++ Developer to support these ongoing projects.The full time member of our technical staff will participate in the conception, requirements analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment of IT systems. This individual participates in project teams of 3 to 10 technologists under the direction of a technical and project lead. As a member of a project team, the C/C++ developer is responsible for building applications that exhibit superior reliability, robustness, and performance.
A successful candidate will have strong experience in designing and implementing software components in C and C++. In addition, a candidate will have demonstrated skills in system integration and transaction processing. A strong knowledge of AIX or Unix is also required.
Location
Wilkesboro, NC and Mooresville, NC (starting in 2009)
Required Skills
- 4 or more years experience in C or C++
- Strong knowledge of AIX or Unix
- Strong knowledge of source code control and software configuration management
- Excellent design and communications skills
- Ability to work in a client-facing role and to collaborate effectively
Additional Skills
- Practical knowledge of agile development
- Practical knowledge of continuous integration and automated testing
- Source Code Control (CVS/CVSNT)
- C++ libraries (Standard, Boost, Qt)
- Defect and issue tracking (Tigris Scarab, Test Director)
- Unit testing framework (cxxtest)
- Performance Testing (Mercury, QC Replay)
- Code quality and metrics tools (cccc, Valgrind, Flexilint)
- Code Coverage tools (BullseyeCoverage)
- Java and J2EE experience for future projects
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and test application components
- Work effectively on project teams using agile development practices
- Acquire new design and implementation skills
- Participate in design and code reviews, and ensure the quality of all project deliverables
- Exhibit outstanding coding, documentation, testing, and other development practices
