Details

Quoin is celebrating our 25th year in business in 2019, and we would like to share what this milestone means as a co-founder. Everything remarkable about this company starts with people – the outstanding technologists who have chosen to be part of our story and the incredible clients we have supported over the years. Jean Pierre and Brad continue to be impressed with the fundamental drive to create shown by our colleagues, from understanding different problem domains to mastering the ever-changing tools of the trade. We are privileged to work with so many smart, driven, and engaging individuals, and truly value these relationships.

History

Quoin was founded by J. Bradford Kain and Jean Pierre LeJacq in 1994. Our early focus was on training and consulting in the emerging practices of object-oriented analysis, design, and implementation in C++ and the new Java language. We also worked in the filed of distributed computing with clients such as Sun Microsystems.

In the late 1990’s, Quoin transitioned to application development. In 1999, we started a ‘dot com’ effort to bring to market a service for digital health care referrals. As we honed our delivery capabilities, we were entrusted with building large scale systems by clients such as WashingtonPost.com and General Motors OnStar, completing a series of application development projects. In 2007, we again bootstrapped a company when we built the original PublicRelay platform for media monitoring and analytics. More recently, we have continued to develop robust, secure, and scalable solutions for diverse clients such as the Lowe’s Companies, United Nations, National Geographic Society, Comporium Communications, and others.
