We are proud to launch this re-designed Quoin web site. We published our first web page in early 1994, using VI/Emacs to create pages that were published on Jean Pierre's Linux laptop running the WN server. Over the years, our site has used different technologies, but we have aimed to maintain a web site that is informative and easy-to-navigate. This new site is long-overdue, but we hope it shows how we simply build great software.
Our primary goal for the new site was to represent who we are and what we do at Quoin. About Us provides an overview of our company and services. Projects describes many of our interesting and challenging client projects. Staff identifes our outstanding team, including Boston, Charlotte, Washington, New York, and Managua offices. The Resources listed on the home page will provide links to client sites, technology partners, development tools, and other news. Finally, this section will include news, announcements, and observations on the range of development process and tools used at Quoin. Just don't call it a 'blog.'
As for technology, the new web site is implemented in Django, including Zinnia and other modules. The user experience is meant to be an example of 'responsive' design, and should adapt to various displays and devices gracefully.
We owe special thanks to Kathryn O'Neil, who help edit much of the copy on this site, and to Mario Barrajon, our erstwhile 2012 - 2013 intern, who contributed to the implementation.
