Sue Willard, Pavel Nabutovsky, and Brad Kain participated in the 3rd Annual Primero Summit last week at UNICEF headquarters in New York City. The meeting provided an opportunity for the Primero community to hear an update on the platform and its use in countries around the world. Led by our client and lead program sponsor, Robert MacTavish, the participants included stakeholders in child protection, gender based violence, and monitoring/reporting services from both UNICEF and partner organizations. The Summit addressed a broad range of topics:
- Updates from the field
- Implementation plans for 2017
- Primero partnerships
- Planning for new capabilities
- Technology infrastructure
- User-experience improvements
- Development road map
Quoin appreciated the opportunity to participate, and was responsible for leading several sessions. Brad led a SWOT analysis to help define development and planning priorities. Pavel gave a presentation on the Primero platform, including technology, security, data protection, and deployment. Overall, we found the Summit to be extraordinarily valuable in better understanding the range of stakeholder needs.
