Server Side Rendering with React and Redux

Server Side Rendering with React and Redux

In the last 10 years, the JavaScript revolution has enabled the rise of the Single Page Application (SPA), which offers great advantages in both speed and user experience (UX). However, the initial HTML file requested is empty. This means that the user must wait longer for the initial render and crawlers may interpret the page as empty. A solution to these issues, Server-Side Rendering (SSR) is the ability of a front-end framework to render markup while running on a back-end system.

This presentation by software engineer Fiax Deschapelles focuses on the main challenges of implementing Server-Side Rendering with React and Redux technologies. In particular, he demonstrates the importance of first mastering the concepts of rendering an application on the server, and then leveraging the capabilities of SPAs on the client. Once this approach is implemented, it enables faster times for the initial page render and fully indexable HTML pages.
