Our technologists supported a range of web, mobile, and enterprise development projects for this regional telecommunications and home security provider. Over a long-term relationship, Quoin was responsible for critical systems including Customer Support, Customer Self-service, Billing, Retail Point of Sale, Customer Email, and others.
Since 2009, Quoin has supported Comporium Commnications, a diversified communications company offering a full range of services, including voice, video, data, wireless, home security/automation, and directory publishing. In an ongoing engagement, Quoin provided a team of onsite technologists to support engagements in systems integration, web application development, enterprise security, and a range of other functions. Significant Quoin projects included Customer Support, Customer Self-Service, Shopping Cart/Point of Sale, Enterprise Security, Logistics, and production support, including diagnosis, performance optimization and remediation of production issues. On these engagements, we provided both independent project teams and highly-skilled resources to collaborate with Comporium engineers.

As with other clients, Quoin provided expertise on project management and business analysis for many Comporium initiatives. Further, we took an active role in introducing new practices and tools to improve the productivity of Comporium’s IT staff. This work included agile development, requirements analysis, specification of user-acceptance tests, continuous integration practices, test-driven development, CMMI/ITIL-based quality metrics to assess source code quality, software configuration management and quality assurance tools. We also worked with senior management to support strategic planning, technology selection, and system architecture initiatives.

At Comporium, our project teams were instrumental in the development of online customer service tools, including account/plan management, billing, and cash management. Our work encompassed multiple implementations designed to better integrate disparate corporate data systems and centralize customer information. We assisted with development of new products and service lines and further supported the organization by ensuring these new offerings were secure and performance was optimized. For example, we performed a hands-on security audit for a new home security and automation product.
