UNFPA - Jahia CMS & Website

We provide ongoing development and operational support for global communications initiatives and the UNFPA website. Our dedicated project team supports day-to-day use of the Jahia Enterprise Content Management System, including development of new content modules and interactive features.

In 2012, Quoin coauthored a digital communication strategy for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). This initiative will help the UNFPA unify its web, social media, and mobile messaging on key policy issues. Quoin also supports website development for UNFPA, a large-scale project designed to enable editors from 120 offices around the world to easily upload multilingual content (text, news, articles, and commentary). The cutting-edge site makes extensive use of dynamic content while incorporating multiple social media streams. High-volume discourse from Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks is dynamically fed into the site and prominently featured.

Quoin has supported application projects for a number of UN affiliate offices worldwide. This body of work also includes recent engagements in web application projects for a number of UN affiliate offices in Central and South America.

  • United Nations Population Fund (www.unfpa.org)
Quoin has supported the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) since 2011, and is currently engaged in supporting web development and migration for UNFPA.com, the agency's main portal. This large-scale web implementation will enable UNFPA editors from the 120 country offices around the world to easily upload multi-lingual content (text, news, articles and commentary) to the website. The thoroughly-modern site is being implemented on a “next-generation” content management platform, and incorporates multiple social media streams and extensive use of dynamic content. Prominently featured on the site is high-volume, dynamically-fed social network content from Facebook, Twitter, and other social media conversations.
  • Spanish Agency for Development Corporation (AECID)
Quoin has supported the Spanish Agency for Development Corporation (AECID). In this rapid development effort, Quoin built and deployed a web portal that displays the AECID’s wide-ranging socioeconomic data in an interactive graphic.
  • 7 Billion Actions (www.org)
Quoin recently built the main portal for the 7 Billion Actions consortium.  This site features high levels of user-submitted multimedia content, heavy social media, and other integration, and (understandably) it supports delivery in a wide range of languages.
